Postcards from 2043

Sometimes I wish the Republicans would win every election for 30 years just so the electorate can see the catastrophe - then make them go back in time and fix everything.

FANEXPO notes

Officially feeling not nerdy enough for fanexpo. It was an excellent way to spend a Sunday but I appreciated my time in an observational, rather than interactive role. The hoards of people grappling for posters, action figures, rare comics, and new trinkets made moving across the exhibitor floor like a slow march through the trenches of a traffic simulator.
The costumes
The plenary
The lunch crowd
The entrance
The transit
The mystery famous

Toronto Tool Library

Just reading about the Vancouver Tool Library, realizing it's a brilliant idea and one I've contemplated before in other contexts. But how exactly do you start up an organization and resource like this? Where is the network and real estate for such an an endeavor? Perhaps some background research. Maybe this can turn into an article? Or a real thing! Anyone up for making this happen?

Reclaiming the homestead

Reclaimed my online real estate after 8 years and a lunch hour spent fighting with logins. Back in business. Awesome.

For anyone else that is stuck without access to an old email this was the solution blogger.com/legacy-claim.g, which allowed me to rolled through some of my classic logins and passwords more easily than http://www.blogger.com/forgot.g, where everything else pointed me to. Good luck!
